Websense® Security Labs™ has received reports of a new phishing attack that targets customers of First National Bank of Omaha.
Users receive a spoofed email, which claims that a new database has just been installed at the bank servers and in order for the online banking software to be updated their account details will need to be verified and confirmed. The link provided in the message leads to a phishing site requesting personal details such as account number, user ID and password.
This phishing site is hosted in the United States and was up at the time of this alert.

We at First National Bank are constantly working to increase security for all Online Banking users. Due to the increased rate of fraud in the online banking system ,and to ensure our customers a heightened level of security and comfort the software engineer's have come up with a new database that will be hack proof . To upload this software all registered online bankers are required to update their account before the 16th of September so as to be a part of the reform program taking place .We hope you help us to help you in other to build an effective and efficient online banking system. This is meant to validate all existing records including your email address you have with us to help us inform you and recognize when it has been unduly changed.
