La Wifi Alliance approuve le WPA version 2 (802.11i)
Huit produits ont reçu l'autorisation d'exploiter la technologie WPA 2, la seconde génération de normes de sécurité sans fil de la WiFi Alliance. Le WPA2 sera compatible WPA a condition que ce dernier supporte le chiffrement avec AES.
